Visible swelling, abscesses, or gum infections that may be accompanied by fever or general malaise.
Oral bleeding
Continuous and uncontrollable bleeding in the gums or around a tooth that you cannot stop at home.
Knocked-out permanent tooth
A permanent tooth knocked out due to a blow or accident (acting within the first few hours is vital to try and save it).
Complications after an extraction
Throbbing pain, excessive bleeding, or signs of infection in the days following a tooth extraction.

Should I call before coming in for an emergency, or can I just walk in?
To ensure we can treat you as quickly as possible, we highly recommend calling us before heading over. This allows us to adjust our daily schedule, prepare the treatment room for your arrival, and save you unnecessary waiting time while you are in pain.
My face is swollen and I am in a lot of pain. Can you prescribe an antibiotic over the phone?
For legal reasons and, most importantly, for your own medical safety, we cannot prescribe antibiotics or strong painkillers without examining you in person. Acute pain or an abscess can have very different origins; self-medicating blindly could mask the real problem or even make it worse. We recommend you call us immediately for an emergency appointment: we will evaluate the cause, relieve your pain in the clinic, and give you the exact, safe prescription you need.
